Job summary

Aircapture seeks a hands-on Test Engineer to join our Berkeley facility and advance Direct Air Capture systems through rigorous testing and data-driven analysis.

You will design and execute HALT/ALT plans, characterize system performance, and collaborate with design and operations teams to drive reliability and optimization. This role requires strong instrumentation, Python, and data skills, with on-site work in Berkeley.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a closely related field or higher.
• 4–8 years of hands-on test engineering experience with hardware systems.
• Experience with data acquisition, instrumentation, and analysis.
• Proficient in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools.
• Experience defining metrics for system performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct system-level testing of DAC systems, including performance characterization.
• Plan HALT and ALT testing programs in collaboration with design teams.
• Develop data-driven understanding of performance and reliability.
• Translate test findings into actionable feedback for design and operations teams.
• Develop data pipelines and dashboards to support engineering decisions.
