Job summary

Aircapture in Berkeley, CA is seeking a hands-on test engineer to contribute to the design-build-test loop for Direct Air Capture systems. You will conduct system-level testing, develop performance metrics, and de-risk new designs through HALT and ALT programs.

You will also build instrumentation, log data, and translate results into actionable feedback for design and operations teams, while helping shape a scalable testing and reliability strategy.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in hardware test programs and data analysis.
• Strong instrumentation and data acquisition background.
• Ability to define meaningful performance metrics.
• Experience with FAT/reliability testing and health monitoring.
• Leadership or project management experience a plus.
• Knowledge of Direct Air Capture or energy hardware is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct system-level testing of DAC systems and optimize performance.
• Define metrics bridging OKRs and design deliverables.
• Plan HALT and ALT testing with fixtures and data analysis.
• Develop data pipelines from telemetry to dashboards for decisions.
• Translate test findings into actionable feedback for design and operations teams.
• Collaborate across teams to support development and reliability goals.
