Job summary

Maximus is seeking a System Test Engineer to support USAF missions with analytical testing to verify operability and requirements. You will develop test documents and procedures, and perform manual and automated testing across unit, integration, functional, and end-to-end levels.

The role requires a TS/SCI clearance and a Bachelor's degree (Master’s may substitute for 2 years). Travel of 10–20% may be required, and the position is remote within the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s may substitute for 2 years.
• 5 years of recent and relevant test experience across various test types.
• Active TS/SCI with ability to obtain CI Poly.
• 3 years of experience with Jira and bug-tracking tools.
• 3 years of experience testing web-based applications.
• Experience testing RESTful interfaces and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical testing support for USAF mission requirements.
• Develop test documents and procedures; plan and execute manual and automated testing.
• Perform unit, integration, functional, and end-to-end testing.
• Support process improvement and requirements definition; conduct specialized studies.

Job description

The System Test Engineer provides subject matter proficiency for our USAF mission. This role is responsible for providing analytical skills to support process improvement, specialized studies, and definition of requirements. Typical duties include analysis, planning, developing test documents, developing procedures, performing various types of manual and automated software testing including, but not limited to, unit testing, integration testing, functional testing, and end-to-end testing. Shall perform other technical and/or test-related duties as required.

This role is contingent upon award.

This role is remote and requires a TS/SCI clearance.

Job-Specific Minimum Requirements:

• Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Poly

• Bachelor's degree required (Master's may substitute for 2 years).

• 5 years of recent and relevant experience in preparing, conducting, and documenting various systems tests to verify system operability and compliance.

• 3 years of experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira).

• 3 years of experience testing web-based applications.

• Practical experience testing and analyzing RESTful interfaces and sending/receiving RESTful information.

• Practical experience testing in a cloud environment.

• DCWF Job Code: 671 Intermediate.

• Willingness to travel 10% to 20% of the time, as needed.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience integrating into DoD DevSecOps environments.

• ISTQB Advanced, CompTIA Security+ or other relevant certifications.
