Job summary

Maximus is seeking a System Test Engineer to support USAF mission requirements. The role involves planning and executing manual and automated tests, developing test documents, and validating software against complex systems.

It requires an active TS/SCI clearance, ability to obtain a CI Poly, and occasional travel. The position is remote, contingent on award, with expectations of 10–20% travel and work within a DoD DevSecOps-like environment.

Responsibilities

Job description

The System Test Engineer provides subject matter proficiency for our USAF mission. This role is responsible for providing analytical skills to support process improvement, specialized studies, and definition of requirements. Typical duties include analysis, planning, developing test documents, developing procedures, performing various types of manual and automated software testing including, but not limited to, unit testing, integration testing, functional testing, and end-to-end testing. Shall perform other technical and/or test-related duties as required.

This role is contingent upon award.

This role is remote and requires a TS/SCI clearance.

Job-Specific Minimum Requirements:

• Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Poly

• Bachelor's degree required (Master's may substitute for 2 years).

• 5 years of recent and relevant experience in preparing, conducting, and documenting various systems tests to verify system operability and compliance.

• 3 years of experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira).

• 3 years of experience testing web-based applications.

• Practical experience testing and analyzing RESTful interfaces and sending/receiving RESTful information.

• Practical experience testing in a cloud environment.

• DCWF Job Code: 671 Intermediate.

• Willingness to travel 10% to 20% of the time, as needed.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience integrating into DoD DevSecOps environments.

• ISTQB Advanced, CompTIA Security+ or other relevant certifications.
