Job summary

Maximus seeks a System Test Engineer to support the USAF mission. The role requires TS/SCI clearance and is remote; contingent upon award. The candidate will analyze, plan, develop test documents, and perform manual and automated testing (unit to end-to-end).

Travel 10–20% may be needed as project requirements evolve. Minimum requirements include active TS/SCI clearance, a bachelor’s degree, 5 years of testing experience, and familiarity with Jira, web tests, RESTful interfaces and cloud

• Active TS/SCI with ability to obtain CI Poly
• Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s may substitute for 2 years)
• 5 years of recent and relevant experience in preparing, conducting, and documenting various systems tests
• 3 years of experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira)
• 3 years of experience testing web-based applications
• Experience testing RESTful interfaces and RESTful data exchange
• Experience testing in a cloud environment
• Willingness to travel 10–20% of the time

Job description

The System Test Engineer provides subject matter proficiency for our USAF mission. This role is responsible for providing analytical skills to support process improvement, specialized studies, and definition of requirements. Typical duties include analysis, planning, developing test documents, developing procedures, performing various types of manual and automated software testing including, but not limited to, unit testing, integration testing, functional testing, and end-to-end testing. Shall perform other technical and/or test-related duties as required.

This role is contingent upon award.

This role is remote and requires a TS/SCI clearance.

Job-Specific Minimum Requirements:

• Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Poly

• Bachelor's degree required (Master's may substitute for 2 years).

• 5 years of recent and relevant experience in preparing, conducting, and documenting various systems tests to verify system operability and compliance.

• 3 years of experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira).

• 3 years of experience testing web-based applications.

• Practical experience testing and analyzing RESTful interfaces and sending/receiving RESTful information.

• Practical experience testing in a cloud environment.

• DCWF Job Code: 671 Intermediate.

• Willingness to travel 10% to 20% of the time, as needed.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience integrating into DoD DevSecOps environments.

• ISTQB Advanced, CompTIA Security+ or other relevant certifications.
