Job summary

NextGen Security LLC in Dallas, TX is seeking a System Technician to join our fast-growing team. You will install field cabling and equipment, perform system programming as needed, and lead project activation and commissioning tasks.

We value an experienced technician with 2+ years in the security industry who can work independently, safely operate a company vehicle, and communicate effectively with clients and team members. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience installing and maintaining electronic access control systems.
• Experience with IP-based video management systems.
• Networking and IT knowledge required.
• Ability to safely operate a company vehicle.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with local electronic security codes and industry standards.
• Understanding and ability to work safely in a chemical plant environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.

• Access Control System Vendor Certifications in Software House, Genetec, ProWatch and/or Lenel or similar.
• Video Management System Vendor Certifications in Genetec,OnSSI,MaxPro, and/or Milestone or similar.
• Intrusion Detection System Vendor Certifications inSenstar/Optellios, and/or FFT.
• Experience in computer operating systems, networkdesignand implementation.
• TWIC Cardholder.
