Job summary

NextGen Security LLC in Dallas, TX is seeking an experienced System Technician to join our growing team. This role focuses on installing and maintaining electronic security systems, including access control and IP-based video management, with coding and commissioning responsibilities.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of field installation experience, strong networking/IT knowledge, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Travel may be required; benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in installing and maintaining electronic security systems.

System Technician

What We’re Looking For

An experienced electronic security installation technician to join our fast growing and dynamic team.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Physically installing Field cabling and field equipment
• Some System programming
• Project activation and commissioning
• Some travel may be required.

What You Bring To The Table

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with installing and maintaining:
• Electronic access control systems.
• IP-Based video management systems
• Networking and IT knowledge.
• Ability to safely operate a company vehicle.
• Superior problem solving and communication skills.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiarization with local electronic security codes and industry standards.
• Understanding and ability to work safely in a chemical plant environment.
• Experience with Microsoft products such as Outlook, Work, Excel Etc.

Preferred

• Access Control System Vendor Certifications in Software House, Genetec, ProWatch and/or Lenel or similar.
• Video Management System Vendor Certifications in Genetec, OnSSI, MaxPro, and/or Milestone or similar.
• Intrusion Detection System Vendor Certifications in Senstar/Optellios, and/or FFT.
• Experience in computer operating systems, network design and implementation.
• TWIC Cardholder.
