Job summary

NextGen Security LLC is seeking an electronic security installation technician to join our fast-growing team in Houston, TX. You will train locally and then travel extensively to customer sites across the country to install and maintain security systems.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years in security installation or a technical/electrical background, plus experience with access control, IDS, and IP video management. We offer full benefits and a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of installation experience in security industry OR technical/electrical background.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in electronics or related field.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain enterprise-level access control systems.
• Install and manage intrusion detection systems (IDS) including fiber and copper.
• Install enterprise-level IP video management systems.
• Apply networking and IT knowledge to site deployments.
• Demonstrate strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Follow local electronic security codes and industry standards.

What you'll be doing

Installing And Maintaining

• Enterprise-level access control systems.

• Networking and IT knowledge.
• Superior problem solving and communication skills.
• Familiarization with local electronic security codes and industry standards.
• Understanding and ability to work safely in a chemical plant environment.
