Job summary

The System Software Programmer - Consultant will design, develop, and modernize critical HR and administrative systems for the South Carolina Department of Public Health, using Angular for the front end and ASP.NET Core with C# for the backend, alongside SQL Server data models.

You will maintain CI/CD pipelines, support deployments, perform thorough system testing, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience with refactoring legacy code and system modernization.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, ASP.NET Core, and C# in enterprise or government contexts.
• Strong SQL Server skills including data modeling, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• DevOps practices including CI/CD and automated deployments.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and data privacy in state/federal systems.
