Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a System Safety & Reliability Engineer to ensure safety and reliability attributes of our products while managing risks to an acceptable level.

You will develop models of degradation and failure mechanisms, assess designs, and deploy reliability models at component and system levels to support product safety.

Hybrid working is offered; relocation assistance is available for the right candidate. A US citizen is required.

Qualifications

• US citizen status is required.
• Bachelor/Master/PhD in math, actuarial science, or engineering.
• Safety and reliability knowledge is essential.
• Relocation may be offered for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Understand degradation and failure mechanisms; develop models using deterministic or data-driven methods.
• Assess designs and practices; deploy models at component to fleet levels to assess safety and reliability.
• Support Safety & Reliability analysis documentation (FHA, FMECA, System Safety Assessment).
• Support FRACAS and Reliability initiatives during development and in-service phases.
