Rolls-Royce plc is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for aerospace controls in Indianapolis, hybrid working 3 days onsite on average or from home. You will contribute to the ACaMS program delivering DO-178C compliant safety-critical software for gas turbine controls, with CI/CD setup and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications include a STEM Engineering degree and 2+ years in software engineering, with U.S. citizenship required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (STEM) with 2+ years in software engineering or related field.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Experience with DO-178C compliant safety-critical software.

Responsibilities

• Develop safety-critical gas turbine engine control software to DO-178C compliance objectives.
• Software architecting support to enable software-to-software integration and testing, including product line methodologies.
• Develop and modify processes to achieve compliance objectives and optimal development pace.
• Set up and modify CI/CD frameworks to enable easy development workflow.
• Liaison with certification airworthiness authorities to explain approaches and close out audit findings.
