Job summary

Corvid Technologies is seeking an experienced System Safety Engineer to join our Prototyping, Integration and Testing team in Huntsville. You will help finalize development, testing, and launch systems for DoW customers with a focus on safety requirements and reliability.

The role involves defining safety requirements in line with MIL-STD-882E, collaborating across engineering disciplines, and developing verification plans and hazard analyses to ensure robust, safe weapon system design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field required.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-882E and its application to system safety programs.
• Experience with safety tools and databases such as hazard tracking, MBSE, and requirement databases.
• Strong cross‑disciplinary collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own Safety artifacts for DoD programs.
• Conduct and document safety assessments (PHA, SHA, FHA, SSHA, OSHA, EHA, HHA, FMEA).
• Develop verification plans and support related test activity, analyzing data and artifacts.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed safety features and fault tolerance in designs.
