Job summary

RTX is hiring for System Safety Engineers in an onsite role across MA/RI locations. The team focuses on System Safety and Human System Integration to safeguard people and hardware throughout the lifecycle.

Typical candidates hold a STEM degree with <2 years of relevant experience and experience in systems, software, or test engineering. Preferred skills include MIL-STD-882 tasks, safety analyses, and cross‑discipline collaboration. Relocation is eligible.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's in STEM and less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with systems, software or test engineering.

Responsibilities

• Support safety strategy execution to meet milestones with system safety features integrated.
• Incorporate system safety into the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
• Engage with Lead System Safety Engineer for guidance on execution and reviews.
• Participate in program meetings to ensure system safety considerations are addressed.
• Explain safety requirements, hazards, and mitigations to leadership.
• Review embedded software code and analyze software safety.
