Job summary

Lee County Electric Cooperative (LCEC) in North Fort Myers, FL seeks an Engineer I, System Planning to perform a broad scope of engineering duties in the Electric Operations division. The role supports forecasts, data retrieval, and planning studies across distribution, transmission, and substations.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 2–5 years of experience, with Florida driver’s license; PE license preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 2–5 years of engineering experience, power engineering preferred.
• Florida driver's license required; PE license (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Data retrieval for analysis and reporting (SCADA, hourly PV, weather data).
• Develop and update system, delivery point, substation, and feeder forecasts.
• Perform distribution/transmission analyses and studies as needed.
• Become proficient in System Planning software for forecasting and modeling.
• Support Storm Restoration and extended hours during emergencies.
