Job summary

Lee County Electric Cooperative (LCEC) is seeking an Engineer I, System Planning in North Fort Myers, FL. The role involves a broad range of technical duties supporting the Electric Operations division, including data retrieval, system analysis, and forecasting for distribution and transmission assets.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred) and 2–5 years in power engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Electrical Engineering is required.
• 2+ to 5 years of engineering experience is required.
• 2+ to 5 years in power engineering is preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve SCADA data for system delivery points, substations and feeders.
• Develop/update forecasts for distribution, transmission, and substation systems.
• Perform distribution load flow, contingency, capacitor and voltage dip analyses as needed.
• Maintain PV generation reports and studies; update modeling databases.
• Support storm restoration and respond to emergencies as needed.
