Job summary

MISO is seeking a System Operator- Balancing Authority and Unit Dispatch in Carmel, IN to support real-time balance and dispatch across the MISO footprint. You will contribute to reliable operations and pursue certification programs during the first year.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field and a current NERC/RC Certification, with a 12-hour rotating shift schedule and an on-site location in Carmel, Indiana.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of related experience in the energy or operations industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Current NERC/RC Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform real-time balancing of load and generation across the MISO footprint.
• Oversee Unit Dispatch and Balancing Authority functions to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Complete training and certification programs for the position.
• Work a 12-hour rotating shift to support 24/7 operations.
