Job summary

MISO is seeking a System Operator - Balancing Authority and Unit Dispatch to join our team in ensuring reliable electricity for 45 million people. You will manage real-time balance, monitor ACE, and drive security-constrained dispatch across the MISO footprint.

Candidates should have at least 4 years in energy/operations, a Bachelor's in Engineering or related field, and a current NERC/RC Certification. A 12-hour rotating shift will be worked; strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of related experience in the energy or operations industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; equivalency may be established with education, training, certifications and directly related experience.
• A current NERC/RC Certification.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Successful completion of the Unit Dispatch and Balancing Authority Certifications and Board exams.
• Work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule to ensure reliable, efficient, and compliant execution of MISO's Balancing and Dispatch (BA) functions.
