Job summary

Advantest America is seeking a proactive Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical design of complex system-level products from concept through launch. You will drive prototyping, qualification, and pilot builds, while applying DFM/DFA to optimize manufacturability, quality, and cost.

You will develop CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and documentation, and collaborate across Electrical, Optical, Systems, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth transfer to high-volume

Qualifications

• Experience designing mechanical systems for complex products.
• Knowledge of DFM and DFA principles to improve manufacturability and cost.
• Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and development of system-level products.
• Support prototyping, qualification, pilot builds, and production ramp.
• Develop CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Electrical, Optical, Systems, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain.
• Drive root cause analysis and resolution of product and manufacturing issues.
• Work with suppliers and contract manufacturers for production readiness.
