Job summary

Black Pen Recruitment is seeking a DevSecOps specialist for a leading Software/ICT client delivering IT services across Europe. The role is remote, based in Germany, and requires fluent German (C2) and English, with at least three years of hands-on experience in distributed systems, CI/CD, and cloud/container technologies.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of distributed systems with many components.
• Experience with build and deployment automation (GitLab, Jenkins).
• Hands-on with configuration management (Puppet, Ansible).
• Proficient in version control and dependency management (Maven, NPM).
• Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines for Java and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Cloud technologies, containers, orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong DevSecOps experience and geo-redundancy awareness.
• Based in Germany with fluent German (C2) and English.

Responsibilities

• Set up, develop, and maintain the development and build/deploy architecture.
• Regularly build software with automation and adaptations for deployments.
• Install software across development, test, and production environments.
• Perform installations and apply updates as needed.
• Coordinate QA of builds and deployments.
• Maintain code repositories and manage release branches.
• Monitor production and production readiness; identify issues early.
• Derive problem-solving strategies and communicate with clients.
