System Integration Specialist (Contract-to-Hire)

Travel: Up to 25% across the U.S. and Canada

Are you an early-career engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges across software, hardware, databases, networking, and operating systems? We're seeking a System Integration Specialist to join a growing engineering team focused on deploying, integrating, testing, and supporting enterprise technology solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, troubleshooting complex issues, working directly with customers, and learning new technologies in a collaborative engineering environment.

What You'll Do

System Integration & Deployment

• Support the full project lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and release activities.
• Configure and integrate software applications, databases, operating systems, and networking components.
• Assist with customer deployments, installations, commissioning activities, and post-deployment support.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions.

Testing & Troubleshooting

• Support integration testing, functional testing, system validation, and acceptance testing activities.
• Troubleshoot software, database, networking, and system-level issues.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action efforts.
• Prepare technical documentation and testing deliverables.

Customer & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work directly with customers during implementation and support activities.
• Partner with software, hardware, cybersecurity, testing, documentation, and project management teams.
• Build strong customer relationships through professional communication and technical expertise.

Configuration & Change Management

• Participate in change management and configuration control processes.
• Support engineering reviews, requirements traceability activities, and project compliance efforts.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 1-3 years of experience in systems integration, implementation, technical consulting, professional services, engineering, software support, or similar technical roles.
• Experience working with:
• Relational databases (SQL Server and/or Oracle)
• Microsoft 365 applications
• Basic networking concepts and architectures
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to satisfy applicable government contract requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Systems integration, deployment, or implementation experience with complex software solutions.
• SQL querying, database configuration, and troubleshooting experience.
• Familiarity with C, C++, or C#.
• Experience with Visual Studio and Git.
• Active Directory experience.
• Networking device configuration and deployment experience.
• Exposure to cybersecurity, video surveillance, physical security, or critical infrastructure environments.
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
