Job summary

Saint Luke’s Health System is seeking a Nursing Assistant for full-time day shift across four metro locations. This entry-level role offers on-the-job training and the chance to float between departments to support patient care.

You will assist with activities of daily living under RN supervision, anticipate families' needs, and collaborate with the care team to improve throughput and patient experience at Saint Luke’s.

Previous CNA experience is welcomed but not required.

Qualifications

• 1 year applicable healthcare experience.
• On-the-job training available for non-certified applicants.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) RQI certification

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN.
• Provides assistance with activities of daily living and care, such as bathing, personal hygiene, elimination and toileting, nutrition, feeding, hydration, ambulation and positioning.
• Anticipates the patient’s family needs in a proactive fashion.
• Individualizes and modifies care according to the patient’s needs.
• Collaborates with other health care team members to enhance the provision of patient care.

This opportunity is also a great position for an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) that is looking for a supportive workplace to call home.You will have the opportunitytohelp improve hospital throughput and capacity while enhancing the patient experience by floating between departments as needed based on staffing and patient care needs. Shift Details: Full Time Days 6:45am-7:15pm, 3 shifts per week ; Floats between all 4 metro locations: Saint Luke’s Plaza, East, North, South, & Smithville

The Work:
