Job summary

DCCA is seeking a junior- to mid-level System Engineer to support a government program delivering large-scale data processing solutions using emerging technologies. The role emphasizes system engineering across lifecycle stages, data flow engineering, and compliance with government requirements.

Strong candidates will have exposure to ISO/IEC 15288 processes and DoDAF/SOA concepts, plus the ability to work with cross-functional teams on mission-critical tasks. Active TS/SCI with poly is required.

Qualifications

• Applies systems engineering across lifecycle phases: concept to retirement.
• Interacts with Government and senior executives on SE issues.
• Ensures technical integrity and quality of deliverables per ISO/IEC 15288.
• Experience with DoDAF and service-oriented architectures.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development of System Engineering Plans and Interface Control Documents.
• Manage system requirements to align with defined architectures (DoDAF/SOA).
• Coordinate action items from CCB meetings and design reviews.
• Analyze technical alternatives and recommend options.
• Support ISO/IEC 15288 activities and produce work products.
• Deliver outputs across ISO/IEC 15288 process areas.

DCCA is looking to staff a junior- to mid-Level Systems Engineer position to support a new, prime contract for a Government program that delivers important technical solutions and products using emerging technologies for processing significantly large amounts of data. Program technical areas include commercial cloud technologies, high performance computing, and enterprise architecture. The program is tactically important to the national security of the United States and the work on these missions are frequently recognized for their results. Current, active TS/SCI clearance with poly required.

DCCA’s Program team is searching for highly skilled, junior- to mid-level Systems Engineer to be a part of our team. The ideal candidate will be interested in executing legacy- to cloud-based transitions, specifically focused on data flow engineering to ensure thorough data analysis and compliance to meet government requirements and should possess the following qualifications:

• Applies systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts. Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. Responsibility for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288:
• TechnicalProcessArea-StakeholderRequirementsDefinition, Requirements Analysis, Architectural Design, Implementation, Integration, Verification, Transition, Validation, Operation, Maintenance,and Disposal.
• ProjectProcessArea-ProjectPlanning,ProjectAssessmentand Control, Decision Management, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Information Management, and Measurement.
• Enterprise(OrganizationalProject-Enabling)ProcessArea-Project Portfolio Management, Infrastructure Management, Lifecycle Model Management, Human Resource Management, and Quality Management.
• AgreementProcessArea-AcquisitionandSupply.
• The following demonstrated experience performing tasks related to one or more of the following areas:
• Contributestothedevelopmentofsectionsofsystemsengineeringdocumentationsuch as SystemEngineeringPlans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirementsspecifications, and Interface Control Documents.

EDUCATION

• AHighSchoolDiplomaorGEDplussix(6)yearsofgeneralsystemsengineering experience (any process area).
• OR
• ABachelor’sdegreeinaQualifiedEngineeringFieldorarelated discipline from an accredited college or university plus two(2)yearsofsystemsengineeringexperience.
• OR
• AMaster’sdegreeinaQualifiedEngineeringFieldorarelated discipline from an accredited college or university.
• OR
• A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
