Job summary

DCCA is seeking a junior- to mid-level System Engineer to support a government program focusing on data flow engineering and transitioning from legacy to cloud. You will work on ISO/IEC 15288 processes and must have an active TS/SCI clearance with poly.

The role emphasizes architectural design, DoDAF alignment, and collaboration with Government stakeholders to deliver mission-critical IT solutions.

Qualifications

  • Experience producing System Engineering documentation (SEMP, ICDs, requirements specs).
  • Manages system requirements to ensure compatibility with defined architectures (DoDAF).
  • Coordinate resolution of action items from CCB, design reviews, and program reviews.
  • Analyze technical alternatives and provide preliminary recommendations.
  • Support SE activities in ISO/IEC 15288 Enterprise/Process Areas.

Responsibilities

  • Applies systems engineering principles across the lifecycle: concept to retirement.
  • Interacts with Government regarding SE considerations and issues.
  • Communicates with Government overseers and senior executives.
  • Ensures technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work and deliverables.

DCCA is looking to staff a junior- to mid-Level Systems Engineer position to support a new, prime contract for a Government program that delivers important technical solutions and products using emerging technologies for processing significantly large amounts of data. Program technical areas include commercial cloud technologies, high performance computing, and enterprise architecture. The program is tactically important to the national security of the United States and the work on these missions are frequently recognized for their results. Current, active TS/SCI clearance with poly required.

DCCA’s Program team is searching for highly skilled, junior- to mid-level Systems Engineer to be a part of our team. The ideal candidate will be interested in executing legacy- to cloud-based transitions, specifically focused on data flow engineering to ensure thorough data analysis and compliance to meet government requirements and should possess the following qualifications:

  • Applies systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts. Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. Responsibility for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288:
  • TechnicalProcessArea-StakeholderRequirementsDefinition, Requirements Analysis, Architectural Design, Implementation, Integration, Verification, Transition, Validation, Operation, Maintenance,and Disposal.
  • ProjectProcessArea-ProjectPlanning,ProjectAssessmentand Control, Decision Management, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Information Management, and Measurement.
  • Enterprise(OrganizationalProject-Enabling)ProcessArea-Project Portfolio Management, Infrastructure Management, Lifecycle Model Management, Human Resource Management, and Quality Management.
  • AgreementProcessArea-Acquisitionand Supply.
REQUIRED SKILLS/TASKS:
  • The following demonstrated experience performing tasks related to one or more of the following areas:
  • Contributestothedevelopmentofsectionsofsystemsengineeringdocumentationsuch as SystemEngineeringPlans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirementsspecifications, and Interface Control Documents.
  • Manages system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems that are compatible with the defined system architecture(s) – DepartmentofDefenseArchitectureFramework(DoDAF),Service-orientedArchitecture.
  • Assistswiththeallocationofthesametoindividualhardware,software,facility,and personnel component.
  • CoordinatestheresolutionofactionitemsfromConfigurationControlBoard(CCB) meetings,designreviews,programreviews,andtestreviewsthat requirecross-discipline coordination.
  • Performanalysisoftechnicalalternativesforaprojectandmakepreliminary recommendations.
  • AssistinperformingsystemsengineeringactivitiesintheISO/IEC15288Agreementor Enterprise Process Areas.
  • Performsystemsengineeringactivitiesandassistinthepreparationofmultiplework products in Project and Technical Process Areas associated with the ISO/IEC 15288.
  • DevelopanddeliveraworkproductinanyoftheISO/IEC15288ProcessAreas.
DESIRED SKILLS:

EDUCATION:
