Job summary

Beacon Hill seeks a Systems Engineer to own Linux-based applications, provide L3 support, perform maintenance and upgrades, and drive automation with Python in a large-scale enterprise environment.

The role blends project work (about 70%) with production support (about 30%), collaborating closely with development teams to keep ~15 enterprise apps stable while growing professionally. This is an onsite role with one day of work-from-home per week.

This Systems Engineer role is ideal for a well-rounded Linux administrator who enjoys both application support and troubleshooting in a large-scale enterprise environment.

The engineer will serve as the primary owner of multiple Linux-based applications handling Level 3 support, maintenance, upgrades, bug resolution, and automation efforts using Python.

The team is seeking someone with at least 3 years of Linux systems administration experience, application support experience, and a solid understanding of DNS, with a strong emphasis on troubleshooting ability rather than deep specialization.

Day-to-day work consists of roughly 70% project-based initiatives and 30% production support, collaborating closely with development teams while helping maintain the stability of approximately 15 enterprise applications.

This is a highly collaborative, onsite role (4 days/week, 1 day wfh) with an opportunity to grow.
