Reflexive Concepts is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join our growing team. The GATEKEEPER team supports the software development lifecycle, building and managing product installations for DoD customers and collaborating with developers, QA, and DevOps.

The role emphasizes system testing, validation, performance tuning, security best practices, and thorough documentation of configurations and procedures, enabling production readiness and reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Ten years of System Engineering experience in DoD-like programs.
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in System Engineering, CS, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; 15 years total if no degree.

Responsibilities

• Support the Software Development Lifecycle of the GATEKEEPER product with developers, QA, DevOps, and other systems engineers.
• Collaborate on system testing, validation, and performance tuning to ensure production readiness.
• Ensure systems comply with security best practices and organizational standards.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, processes, and support procedures.
• Communicate architecture and design concepts clearly to cross-functional teams.

Job description

Reflexive Concepts is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join our growing team! The GATEKEEPER team is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Software Development Lifecycle of the GATEKEEPER product, working with developers, QA, DevOps, and fellow systems engineers to build and manage GATEKEEPER product installations for DoD customers. The role includes collaborating with development and QA teams on system testing, validation, and performance tuning in support of production readiness, and ensuring system compliance with security best practices and organizational standards.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years of System Engineering experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline
  • An additional five (5) years of System Engineering experience may be substituted for the degree, for a total of fifteen (15) years

Required

• RDBMS experience (tuning, migration, optimization)
• Docker expertise; familiarity with Kubernetes a bonus
• Terraform and CloudFormation (CDK)
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and platforms
• AWS Foundational-level certification
• RDS and relational database experience in the cloud
• Knowledge of ICAM capabilities and integration
• Experience developing and maintaining detailed documentation for system configurations, processes, and support procedures
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with developers, testers, and product owners to align system behavior with business and technical requirements
• Strong organization and time management skills, including the ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision to meet deadlines
• Experience implementing and maintaining system monitoring, logging, and alerting to proactively identify and resolve issues
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate architecture and design conceptions
