Job summary

Lucid Circuit seeks an experienced infrastructure engineer to lead CI/CD provisioning, automation, and secure, highly available computing platforms for aerospace-focused workloads.

You will implement resilient remote work infrastructure, manage backups, and enforce robust security postures while collaborating with R&D teams on cutting-edge hardware and software stacks.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Lucid Circuit is a Santa Monica-based company developing energy-efficient signal processing
and machine learning platforms for aerospace applications. Through significant improvements of onboard processing capabilities, spaceborne and airborne applications can see reduced communication bandwidth requirements and reduced latency for delivery of analytics approaching real-time. Astrum is Lucid Circuit’s line of radiation-tolerant and energy-efficient processors for reliable high-performance cognitive applications in edge devices.

Who we’re looking for and what your responsibilities will be

Join Lucid Circuit and help develop aerospace-focused, cognitive edge-resilient processors and tools. As a member of the hardware microelectronics team, you will be responsible for Cell, Block, section layout and verification in mixed-signal designs. You should have proven
experience in creating layout methodologies, flows, and tape-out procedures. This is an
opportunity to work with subject matter experts in custom tooling for novel architectures,
compilers, statistical learning, microelectronics, semiconductors and radiation physics. A broad technical background is central to this unique opportunity to solve challenging optimization problems at Lucid Circuit.

U.S. Citizenship or permanent resident status is required for this position.

  • Implement CI/CD version controlled machine provisioning in lock-step with Developer snapshots
  • Develop, deploy and manage resilient remote work infrastructure that supports company technical and administrative activities.
  • Maintain rigorous planning, execution, documentation and communication practices
  • Develop and manage secure and resilient automated local and off-site backup infrastructure.
  • Author, develop, implement and enforce security policies and postures for company compute infrastructure, network infrastructure and physical infrastructure and access control integrity.
  • Focus on anticipating, managing and mitigating outsider and insider threats to company infrastructure, systems.
  • Streamline procedures through automation project management servers.
  • Stand-up, deploy, maintain and monitor servers, metal as a service, virtual machines, digital storage, network infrastructure, local backup and remote backup.
  • Stand-up, deploy, secure, maintain and monitor company HPC storage systems and volume managers.
  • Create, modify, deploy and enforce enterprise-wide authorization and authentication processes using Hardware Security Modules, Hardware Security Tokens, Cryptographic software and tools.
  • Implement and maintain hardware installations, software server deployments, and systems updates.
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain High Availability environments for onsite, remote work and offsite use by company staff.
  • As appropriate, develop and implement the knowledge, infrastructure and policies to enable the company to become compatible with NIST/CMMC/NISPOM requirements.
  • Perform routine network, infrastructure and physical penetration, counter security tests to reinforce company infrastructure and networks.
  • Develop programs, scripts as needed in support of the above responsibilities.
  • Support the deployment of automated checkpoint and snapshot processes for continuous integration and continuous development in support of hardware, software code bases and heuristic model bases.
  • Support automated procedures to collect and report test performance metrics in support of continuous integration and continuous development activities.
  • Maintain and increase subject matter expertise and knowledge pertinent to the above responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with R&D staff.
