Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking a senior embedded software engineer to design, develop, and optimize platform software for automotive ADAS and autonomous driving. You will perform board bring‑up, develop low‑level drivers, and lead camera bring‑up with ISP integration while collaborating across hardware, systems, and applications teams.

The role focuses on real‑time OS, C/C++, and low‑level software for perception and vehicle control, offering strong growth in a pioneering luxury EV company.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of embedded software development experience for complex systems.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++.
• Hands-on experience with Linux and/or QNX kernel, BSP, and low-level platform development.
• Solid experience with board bring-up and device driver development, including interfaces such as I2C, UART, SPI, PCIe, RGMII, SGMII, and camera ISPs.
• Experience working with real-time operating systems (RTOS).

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in embedded software development for complex systems
• Strong proficiency in C/C++
• Hands‑on experience with Linux and/or QNX kernel, BSP, and low‑level platform development
• Solid experience with board bring‑up and device driver development, including interfaces such as I2C, UART, SPI, PCIe, RGMII, SGMII, and camera ISPs
• Experience working with real‑time operating systems (RTOS)

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced C++ application development experience
• Prior experience in ADAS or autonomous driving systems
• Ability to read and interpret hardware schematics, datasheets, and reference designs
• Experience with bootloaders, secure boot, firmware update mechanisms, and UDS diagnostics
• Strong understanding of embedded security concepts, including cryptographic hardware, key management, and certificate management

Salary Range

The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job‑related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

Base Pay Range (Annual)

$179,400 - $263,120 USD

Compensation & Benefits:

Eligible employees may also participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual cash incentive program.
