Job summary

Vibrint is seeking a seasoned Systems Engineer to support design, deployment, modernization, and sustainment of complex IT systems and SIGINT platforms across field sites in the United States. Qualifications

  • Minimum twenty (20) years of systems engineering experience.

  • Extensive experience integrating, configuring, deploying, and sustaining network and data-processing systems.
  • Hands-on rack-and-stack installation, cabling, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Cisco networking technologies (routers, switches and security).
  • Understanding of cloud-computing concepts and best practices.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders.

As a Systems Engineer, you will support all phases of the design, implementation, deployment, modernization, and sustainment of complex IT systems and SIGINT platforms. You'll develop the engineering documentation needed to transition new and upgraded systems into operational environments while working across communications technologies, systems architecture, virtualization, networking, hardware, software, and cloud infrastructure. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with highly skilled engineers, contribute to complex field-site deployments, and directly support missions that strengthen our nation's security. You'll also end your day knowing that you're doing work that truly matters.

Position requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph level clearance. US citizenship is required.

  • Document all phases of system design, implementation, deployment, modernization, and sustainment.
  • Develop preliminary design reviews, mission transition plans, implementation plans, system diagrams, and other technical engineering documentation.
  • Design, interpret, and modify system and network engineering drawings using Microsoft Visio, Adobe, or similar tools.
  • Support the architecture and integration of communications technologies, virtualized infrastructure, IT systems, and SIGINT platforms.
  • Administer, configure, and troubleshoot systems across Linux and Windows environments.
  • Integrate, configure, deploy, test, and sustain network and data-processing hardware and software.
  • Support Cisco networking technologies, including routers, switches, and associated security protocols.
  • Perform hands-on system deployment activities, including rack-and-stack installation, cabling, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Support the deployment of new systems and upgrades to existing systems at field sites.
  • Apply cloud-computing concepts and best practices to system designs and modernization efforts.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues spanning hardware, software, operating systems, networks, and infrastructure components.
  • Create and maintain detailed system architecture, configuration, deployment, transition, and operational documentation.
  • Track requirements, engineering activities, issues, and deliverables using Jira and Confluence.
  • Collaborate with systems, network, software, cybersecurity, operations, and mission teams.
  • Develop technical reports, briefings, and supporting materials using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum twenty (20) years of systems engineering experience.

  • Demonstrated experience designing, interpreting, and modifying system and network engineering drawings.
  • Experience administering systems across Linux and Windows environments.
  • Extensive experience integrating, configuring, deploying, and sustaining network and data-processing systems.
  • Hands-on experience with rack-and-stack installation, cabling, system testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Cisco networking technologies, including routers, switches, and network security protocols.
  • Understanding of cloud-computing concepts and best practices.
  • Experience developing detailed system-engineering, deployment, transition, and sustainment documentation.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with technical, operational, and mission stakeholders.
  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph-level clearance.
  • Candidates must meet one of the following education and experience combinations:
    • A bachelor's degree in a qualified engineering field or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus twenty (20) years of systems engineering experience;
    • A high school diploma or GED, plus twenty-four (24) years of general systems engineering experience in any process area;
    • A master's degree in a qualified engineering field or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experience; or
    • A PhD in a qualified engineering field or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus sixteen (16) years of systems engineering experience.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience supporting the deployment or modernization of systems at field sites.
  • Experience developing preliminary design reviews and mission transition plans.
  • Experience supporting SIGINT platforms or other mission-critical operational systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of multiple communications technologies and infrastructure architectures.
  • Experience supporting cloud or hybrid-cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity requirements and secure system-design principles.
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence within an engineering or operational environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Visio, Adobe, SharePoint, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Qualified engineering fields include Aeronautics, Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, Nuclear, Software, Systems, and Engineering Management. Similar or comparable degrees may be accepted.
