Job summary

Vibrint seeks a System Administrator in Utah to sustain and advance HPC infrastructure across multi-vendor servers and clusters. You will configure Linux/Unix systems, troubleshoot IT environments, and support mission-critical analysis for national security programs.

The role requires active TS/SCI with polygraph and US citizenship, with responsibilities spanning operations, performance tuning, and user support within a secure environment. A strong HPC and networking background is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of demonstrable system administration experience, or 8+ years in lieu of a degree.
• Active DoD 8570 IAT II level certification is required.
• Experience with Linux/Unix OS installs, file systems, and network configuration.
• Familiarity with HPC architecture and high-speed networks (InfiniBand, Slingshot).

Responsibilities

By joining this particular High Performance Computing (HPC) prime contract, you'll help maintain and advance the computing infrastructure that powers unprecedented mission-critical analysis, scientific discovery, and scalable national security outcomes.

As a System Administrator on this program, you will help deliver enhanced HPC capabilities across multi-vendor HPC servers, HPC clusters, and specialized processing environments. Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and advance Linux and Unix operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
• Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems
• Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
• Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning

Qualifications

• Experience with OS install, file system configuration, TCP/IP networking, configuration, operating system and application troubleshooting, BASH scripting, software compilation and install
• Understanding of HPC architecture, knowledge of high-speed networks such as InfiniBand, Slingshot
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios, Slurm, git, Salt, Ansible
• Proven troubleshooting skills - each system is slightly different and there's no "one fix" for a particular problem
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
• Minimum three (3) years of demonstratable system administration experience or eight (8) years minimum experience in lieu of degree
• DoD 8570 IAT II level certification
