Accounting Search is partnering with a leading healthcare organization in Ithaca, NY to recruit a Director of Perioperative Services. This system-level leadership role oversees operating rooms, preoperative and postoperative care, scheduling, endoscopy, and sterile processing across multiple locations.

The ideal candidate has BSN with 5+ years in surgical services and 3+ years of leadership, current RN license, and a track record of improving patient safety, throughput, and financial

Qualifications

• BSN is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
• 5+ years of healthcare experience with a focus on surgical services.
• 3+ years of surgical-services leadership experience.
• Current RN license.
• Knowledge of operating-room and perioperative clinical standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide system-level leadership for perioperative services.
• Direct the overall daily operations of perioperative departments.
• Oversee OR, preoperative and postoperative care, scheduling, endoscopy, and sterile processing functions.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, local, state, and federal regulations and accreditation requirements.
• Establish and implement short- and long-term operational goals, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor operational effectiveness and implement improvements as needed.
• Develop staffing models to meet objectives.
• Lead recruitment, retention, and professional development within perioperative services.
• Coordinate with nursing, finance, IT, and other departments to optimize centralized services.
