SYSTEM DESIGN ENGINEER AND/OR SOLIDWORKS DESIGNERS ONLY!

We are seeking talented individuals with skills and the drive to succeed. A degree is not necessary; we value real-world experience ranging from 3 to 20+ years that can benefit our Engineering Department. The team is tasked with applying ACT's proven technologies to create new custom machine configurations for a wide range of customer applications, including industrial, aerospace, and defense sectors.

Mid-level to senior-level experienced personnel are encouraged to apply. Compensation is commensurate with experience, along with a profit-based bonus plan.

Responsibilities:

• Design of metal and plastic sheet metal and parts.
• Develop designs in 3D CAD (SolidWorks, PDM, AutoCAD). The candidate must have verifiable SolidWorks experience and pass a site evaluation.
• Create renderings, fabrication drawings, approval drawings, and concepts based on project direction from managers.
• Maintain excellent communication with sales, leadership, and team members to ensure designs meet customer requirements and performance goals.
• Work effectively in a team environment, contributing to overall team success.
• Organize and prioritize design tasks to meet schedules.
• Understand metalworking design principles, including cutting, bend radius, and TIG welding, to produce accurate fabrication drawings promptly.
• Operate design software integrated with ERP systems.
• Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA), recording data and calculations.
• Develop P&ID drawings.
• Select pumps, heaters, and pneumatics suitable for system capacities.
• Collaborate with the Electrical Department on wireway routing and approval drawings.
• Prepare manuals, charts, and graphs that meet ACT and customer standards.

Requirements:

SolidWorks certification with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a relevant manufacturing industry. Willingness to work additional hours as necessary to meet project deadlines and bonus schedules.
