Job summary

Metropolitan Utilities District is seeking a System Controller to monitor gas and water systems, operate re-pump stations, and maintain reservoir pressures. The role requires managing peak shaving at LNG/Propane/Air plants and ensuring daily reporting accuracy.

You will report to the Director, Energy Acquisitions and the Director, Water Transmission & Supply. Minimum 5 years in water or gas plants and 2 years of shift work are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience at water or gas plants; 2 years of shift work.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and Nebraska Grade 4 Water Operator License.
• DOT testing, background check and OQ requirements apply.

Responsibilities

• Monitor gas and water systems and operate pump stations.
• Establish high service pump rates to maintain reservoir levels.
• Determine peak shaving rates for LNG/Propane/Air plants.
• Prepare daily system reports and respond to emergencies.
