Job summary

Duke University Health System in Durham, NC seeks a System Chief Dosimetry to provide strategic leadership for dosimetry across the health system, guiding treatment planning quality and staffing.

This executive role partners with Radiation Oncology physicians, medical physicists, and administrative leaders to advance planning techniques, standardize workflows, and implement new technologies such as IMRT, VMAT, and SBRT; travel within the system is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical dosimetry or related field.
• CMD certification required; leadership experience preferred.
• 5 years of clinical dosimetry experience.
• 3 years of leadership experience in radiation oncology preferred.
• Experience with advanced planning techniques (IMRT, VMAT, SBRT).

Responsibilities

• Provide system-wide leadership for dosimetry services across all Radiation Oncology sites.
• Oversee staffing models, workload distribution, and planning turnaround times.
• Lead quality assurance initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance and plan accuracy.
• Collaborate with physicians, physics, and administrative leaders to implement new technologies and optimize workflows.
