Position Overview

A large utility company in the Oakbrook Terrace area is seeking a skilled Business Analyst II to support business operations through data analysis, reporting solutions, dashboard development, and process improvement initiatives. This role will partner with operational and business stakeholders to develop reporting capabilities, transform data into actionable insights, and support strategic decision-making across multiple business functions.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and analytical skills, advanced SQL expertise, and experience developing Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, develop reporting requirements, and deliver scalable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into reporting and analytical solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries to support operational and business reporting needs.
• Perform data transformation, data modeling, and ETL development activities.

Required Qualifications

• Experience with data transformation, data modeling, ETL processes, and reporting pipelines.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and data architecture concepts.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Databricks.
• Experience working with Oracle and Azure platforms.
• Experience supporting utility, infrastructure, engineering, or operations-focused business environments.
