Base pay range

$150,000.00/yr - $225,000.00/yr

Dexian has been engaged to identify a Senior System Administrator and Technical Lead with active TS/SCI clearance, to directly support the most sensitive programs of a defense technology organization. This is a Full-Time staff position working onsite in Washington, D.C.

The Senior Systems Administrator will be a part of the team building and maintaining the critical classified infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the world's best engineers and cybersecurity professionals as you help to implement cutting edge systems. You will directly support the systems deployed across the globe in support of national security missions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Install, configure, and maintain Windows workstations, Windows and Linux servers.
Directly assist with installation and setup of system of systems hardware from bare metal to platform base operating system.
Act as a Technical Lead for the Washington D.C. office, ensuring effective communication with Leadership in different time-zones and sites.
Manage and monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions proactively.
Ensure the security and integrity of server infrastructure through regular audits and proactive measures.
Collaborate with other IT professionals to design and implement system upgrades, patches, and migrations.
Develop and implement automation scripts using Python and Ansible.
Collaborate with System Engineers in the uploading of container images into the deployment pipeline.
Support monitoring of pods deployed in a Kubernetes environment.
Provides technical guidance and mentoring of team members.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Active TS/SCI Clearance.
7+ years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing Classified IT enterprise systems and solutions at manufacturing companies (Aerospace & Defense industry preferred).
Proven expertise in one or more of the following: Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows (10, 11, Server 2019, 2022), VMware (VxRail), Azure or AWS cloud services.
Experience performing Database Cloning, Backups, Restoring, Recovery, and Monitoring.
Experience implementing role-based access control concepts (e. g. SE Linux extensions to RHEL, PitBull, AppArmor, and Sentris)
Programming ability in one or more of the general scripting languages (Python, Go, Bash, Rust).
Experience in DevOps or SRE type roles.
