Job summary

Akima Data Management (ADM) is seeking a System Administrator to join the San Antonio, TX team on-site. Responsibilities include supporting users, troubleshooting IMIT issues, and maintaining hardware and software across on-premises and cloud environments.

The role requires an associate degree (or higher), 3+ years in desktop support and network management, and DoD 8570 IAT Level I certifications. Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one is needed.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (or higher) in computer science, engineering, information systems, mathematics, or technology management.
• At least 1 current IT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• 3+ years’ experience in desktop support, database management, and network management.
• Maintain current professional certifications/licenses as required by contract (DoD 8570 IAT Level I).
• Active Secret clearance and ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer support, orientation guides, and user information handouts.
• Troubleshoot and maintain hardware and software, servers, and network components.
• Manage software inventories, licensing, and asset tracking.
• Perform system backups, data migration, and disaster recovery operations.
