Job summary

Akima Data Management (ADM) is seeking a Program Manager to lead IT operations in Falls Church, VA. You will coordinate requirements, plan IT activities, and manage onsite personnel, training, and schedules to ensure effective delivery.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant degree and multiple IT certifications, including DoD 8570 IAT Level III, with 7+ years in NIPR/SIPR desktop and network management, and an active Secret clearance. On-site work with a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or equivalent with 24 semester hours in related fields.
• Minimum two current IT certifications or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• MIS SME must possess a Project or Program Management Certificate.
• 7+ years’ combined experience in NIPR/SIPR desktop support, database management, and network management.
• Maintain DoD 8570 Information Assurance Training IAT Level III (e.g., CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, CCSP).
• Eligible Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver overall requirements.
• Plan, direct and coordinate IT activities.
• Manage onsite personnel, training, schedules, leaves, vacation.
• Document explicit and implicit functional and technical requirements.
• Provide in-house training for technicians on documented procedures.
• Ensure continuity of network with MS product deployments.
• Interface with users to maintain consistency and applicability across sites.
• Oversee site support implementation and action plans.
• Provide monthly status reports with Metrics Analysis to COR and Functional Representatives.
• Provide weekly ticketing status reports.
• Support government in evaluating solution impact on business and IT performance metrics.
• Monitor data center environmental factors.
• Identify critical issues with network management and improvement.
• Assess risks and develop mitigation strategies.
