Job summary

Bowman Williams in Tampa area is seeking a System Administrator Level 2 for a primarily remote role supporting K–12 schools nationwide. You will handle escalations, mentor junior technicians, and own complex issues with occasional onsite visits in the Tampa area.

You will support Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, endpoints, local servers, and printer management, while documenting resolutions and guiding clients with proactive advice.

Qualifications

• Experience in MSP environments is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, servers, endpoints.
• Experience mentoring junior technicians.
• Strong client communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own escalated Tier 2 issues across multiple school environments.

We are a specialized Managed Services Provider supporting K–12 schools nationwide and are hiring a System Administrator Level 2 to handle escalations while helping mentor and develop a team of field engineers.

This is a primarily remote role supporting schools throughout the Tampa area, with onsite visits only about 5 to 6 times per year. You will serve as a senior technical resource for both clients and junior technicians while taking ownership of more complex support issues.

What You Will Work On

• Own escalated Tier 2 issues across multiple school environments
• Support Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, endpoint management, local servers, and printer management systems
• Provide remote support through ticket and call queues
• Mentor Tier 1 and field technicians on troubleshooting and technical best practices
• Help junior technicians build the skills needed to resolve more issues independently
• Communicate directly with clients and provide proactive technical guidance
• Document technical resolutions and maintain strong ticket quality
• Travel onsite approximately 5 to 6 times per year when needed

What We Are Looking For

• MSP experience supporting multiple client environments is required
• Strong Tier 2 troubleshooting and escalation experience
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, servers, endpoints, and related infrastructure
• Previous experience mentoring, training, or guiding junior technicians
• Ability to independently manage technical issues in a remote support environment
• Strong client communication, documentation, and customer service skills
