Vets Hired is seeking a System Administrator (Associate/Intermediate) to support, secure, and troubleshoot enterprise Windows environments. You will handle AD management, patching, backups, and security compliance while collaborating with cybersecurity teams to ensure reliable IT operations.

Role requires U.S. citizenship with a Secret clearance and IAT II or equivalent, plus progressive experience in enterprise IT. On-site duties at a DoD-related environment in West Virginia will be performed.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance.
• IAT Level II certification or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in systems administration, IT support, networking, or cybersecurity.
• Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity, vulnerability management, and system hardening.
• Microsoft 365 Teamwork Administrator Associate certification (or obtain within 6 months).

Responsabilités

• Install, configure, patch, and troubleshoot Windows servers, workstations, OS, and enterprise apps.
• Provide technical support for hardware, software, user accounts, and system issues.
• Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, MECM, and enterprise services.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security.
• Perform routine maintenance, backups, patch management, and recovery.
• Create, modify, and maintain user accounts, permissions, access controls.
• Support vulnerability remediation and system hardening activities.
• Develop and maintain documentation, configurations, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with networking, engineering, and cybersecurity teams.
• Support audits, inspections, and cybersecurity compliance activities.
• Troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis for technical issues.
• Assist with enterprise infrastructure support and system improvements.
