Job summary

Acara Solutions is seeking a Systems Administrator for a contract role on Long Island, NY. You will harden Windows systems, manage patches, and support end users while following NIST 800-53 controls.

Expect hands-on administration of desktops, servers, VMware, and imaging tooling in a secure environment. The role requires Active Secret clearance (or recent clearance) and 7+ years in systems administration, with strong Windows and VMware experience.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance is required.
• 7+ years in systems administration with NIST 800-series experience.
• 5+ years of Windows administration experience.
• 2+ years of VMware experience.

Responsibilities

• System hardening and configuration of Windows systems to NIST 800-53 baseline controls.
• Patch management and maintenance per continuous monitoring standards.
• Provide user support and incident response to minimize interruptions.
• Assist with monthly vulnerability scans and remediation.
• Monitor and troubleshoot uWAN connectivity and performance.
• Administer desktops, servers, storage, VMware, and imaging workflows.
• Enforce least privilege and proper access controls for ISSM/ISSO and DTA accounts.
