Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a System Administrator Level 2 to support the VISTA (SRE Team). The role covers implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems across client, server, storage, network, and mobile devices.

Strong Linux, shell scripting, and knowledge of Cisco, NetApp, and Kubernetes are essential. Applicants must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph and meet the experience and education requirements outlined above.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph is required.
• Strong Linux experience is required.
• Proficiency in Linux shell commands and scripting is required.
• Knowledge of Cisco network configurations and troubleshooting is required.
• Knowledge of NetApp filer configurations and troubleshooting is required.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerization is required.
• Ten years of System Administrator experience in programs of similar scope is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
• Manage daily configuration and operation of IT systems.
• Provide Tier 1 Help Desk problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
• Assist users in accessing and using IT systems.
• Support day-to-day IT operations across client, server, storage, network, and mobile devices.
• Escalate and communicate status to management and internal customers.
• Optimize system operations and plan capacity utilization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and system issues across UNIX and Windows environments.
