Job summary

Day Kimball Health is seeking a System Administrator I to join our IT Department in Putnam, Connecticut. This entry‑level role supports and maintains our IT infrastructure, including Windows Server environments and Active Directory, while contributing to disaster recovery and project work.

You will work with IT teams to ensure reliable, secure technology services and excellent customer support in a healthcare setting, with growth opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred.
• A+ certification preferred.
• Security certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide second-level technical support for hardware, software, server, network, and application issues.
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows server environments, Active Directory, virtualization platforms, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Install, configure, upgrade, and support servers, storage, networking, and IT systems.
• Manage help desk tickets and deliver timely, customer-focused technical support.
• Monitor system performance, backups, security, and availability to ensure reliable IT operations.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and disaster recovery processes.
• Collaborate with IT team members, vendors, and business departments on technology projects and system improvements.
• Test, implement, and support software updates, patches, and infrastructure enhancements.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical systems and after-hours technical issues.
