Job summary

Day Kimball Health is seeking a System Administrator I to join the IT Department in Putnam, CT. The role focuses on maintaining Windows Server environments, Active Directory, virtualization platforms, networking, and enterprise applications while delivering reliable and secure technology services.

You will support hardware, software, and end-user needs, manage incidents, document procedures, and contribute to disaster recovery planning, with opportunities for growth in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred.
• A+ certification preferred.
• Security certifications are preferred.
• VMware/server virtualization certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide second-level technical support for hardware, software, server, network, and application issues.
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows server environments, Active Directory, virtualization platforms, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Install, configure, upgrade, and support servers, storage, networking, and IT systems.
• Manage help desk tickets and deliver timely, customer-focused technical support.
• Monitor system performance, backups, security, and availability to ensure reliable IT operations.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and disaster recovery processes.
• Collaborate with IT team members, vendors, and business departments on technology projects and system improvements.
• Test, implement, and support software updates, patches, and infrastructure enhancements.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical systems and after-hours technical issues.
