Job summary

Vibrint seeks a System Administrator focused on Storage to enhance HPC capabilities across multi-vendor servers and clusters. The role emphasizes storage troubleshooting, OS tuning, and file service optimization within secure, mission-critical environments.

You will work with VMWare, Xen, RedHat/SUSE/Solaris, and HPC file systems like GPFS/Lustre, contributing to secure national security infrastructure. Active TS/SCI with polygraph and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with OS install, file system configuration, TCP/IP networking, troubleshooting, BASH scripting and software install.
• Understanding of HPC architecture and high-speed networks (InfiniBand, Slingshot).
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios, Slurm, git, Salt, Ansible.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
• DoD 8570 IAT II level certification.

Responsibilities

• Configuration, tuning, testing and storage troubleshooting for virtualization products (VMWare, Xen, Solaris).
• Storage troubleshooting for cloud-based implementations (HADOOP).
• Manage file services and FC connectivity across RHEL/SUSE/Solaris.
• Work with multi-vendor clustered file systems (GPFS, Lustre).
• Support SAN/NFS/CIFS storage appliances and data deduplication products.

As a System Administrator focused on Storage, you will help deliver enhanced HPC capabilities across multi-vendor HPC servers, HPC clusters, and specialized processing environments. You'll have the opportunity to grow your technical expertise alongside highly skilled engineers, collaborate with exceptional teammates, and directly contribute to missions that strengthen our nation's security. Position requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph level clearance. US citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Configuration, tuning, testing and advanced level storage troubleshooting in support of virtualization products such as VMWare, Xen, and Solaris containers
• Configuration, tuning, testing and advanced level storage troubleshooting of cloud-based implementations, such as HADOOP
• Configuration, tuning, testing and storage troubleshooting in support of RedHat, Suse, and Solaris operating systems, as they relate to the file service and FC connectivity
• Network appliance clusters with direct attached and FC SAN storage
• Multi-vendor clustered file systems such as GPFS, Lustre
• Brocade FC switch network
• Enterprise class arrays
• Solid State Disk (SSD)
• NFS/CIFS based server/storage appliance
• Data Domain and similar deduplication products

Qualifications

• Experience with OS install, file system configuration, TCP/IP networking, configuration, operating system and application troubleshooting, BASH scripting, software compilation and install
• Understanding of HPC architecture, knowledge of high-speed networks such as InfiniBand, Slingshot
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios, Slurm, git, Salt, Ansible
• Proven troubleshooting skills - each system is slightly different and there's no "one fix" for a particular problem
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
• Minimum five (5) years of demonstratable system administration experience or ten (10) years minimum experience in lieu of degree
• DoD 8570 IAT II level certification ___________________________________________________________________
