Job summary

First Bankers Trust Company is seeking a Systems Administrator to maintain the bank’s IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, servers, storage, and networks. The role includes implementing new systems, upgrades, and contributing to disaster recovery planning.

The position also involves regular IT Help Desk support, system monitoring to ensure availability, and applying patches and upgrades. A degree in IT/CS or related field is preferred with relevant certifications considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred; Associate’s Degree or three years equivalent experience and/or training required.
• 3–5 years of IT-related field experience.
• Microsoft or Cisco certifications or equivalents a plus.
• Strong understanding of technology systems administration and operation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers to understand needs and address them.

Responsibilities

• Maintain IT infrastructure including hardware, software, servers, storage, networks, or facilities.
• Implement new systems and upgrades; assist in capacity and disaster recovery planning.
• Provide IT Help Desk end-user services as scheduled, including some weekends.
• Monitor systems to maintain high availability for end users; apply patches and upgrades.
• Stay up to date on technology trends and engage with vendors as needed.

This position also implements new systems and upgrades to existing technology systems, assists in technology capacity and disaster recovery planning, and applies technical knowledge to assist internal users with computer and technology related problems.
