Job summary

Redwire Space in Goleta, CA is seeking a System Administrator (all levels) to join the IT Service Team onsite with the flexibility to work remotely one day per week. The role focuses on user support, system administration of local and virtual networks, AD/Azure AD, and backup/disaster recovery, with opportunities to improve processes and security posture.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience in IT or MSP environment.
Experience administering Office 365, Azure AD, Windows Server AD, and related services is expected.
Proficiency with desktop OS (Windows, macOS, Linux) and networked workstations.
Experience in VLANs, Zero Trust Architecture, and 802.1x is preferred.
Current CompTIA Security+ certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
Ability to obtain US Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact for internal staff seeking IT assistance.
Record incidents and resolutions in help desk software.
Administer a hybrid environment with AD and Azure AD resources.
Support a wide range of IT needs including phones, printers, workstations, servers, and networks.
Image systems, create new hire accounts, and handle terminations.
Communicate updates and status clearly to users and management.
Perform basic maintenance on servers and critical lab/testing systems.
Identify process improvements and develop new procedures.
Typical week: majority desktop/app support, some server/network work, and meetings.
