Job summary

TEKsystems in Pleasanton, CA seeks an IT support professional to maintain Windows servers, Exchange, and AD, while managing GPOs and infrastructure upgrades. The role involves handling file/print, application servers, and related network elements onsite.

The ideal candidate has intermediate IT experience with Office 365, Windows 11, and Unix/Linux, and will participate in VMware-to-Hyper‑V migrations and asset documentation.

• Intermediate level IT support experience required.
• Experience with AD, Office 365, and Windows 11 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Windows servers (File/Print, App servers, Exchange, DC) and GPOs.
• Provide technical support for IT systems, devices, connectivity and security.
• Manage hardware, software, AV, peripherals and email operations.
• Assist in VMware to Hyper‑V migration projects.
• Asset management, inventory, and documentation.
• Configure and maintain LAN/WAN, switches and WiFi as needed.

Description

Supporting and Primary Windows Operating Systems Server that includes File&Print and Application servers as well as Exchange and Domain Controller that includes knowledge of GPOs. Deliver technical support for related to IT systems, applications, devices, connectivity, security, new/modify/removal of users. Includes but is not limited to server hardware, software, AV, peripherals and email, etc. Work with small scale LAN & WAN topology configuration, add, configure, upgrade devices as needed including WIFI, switches, and various other network related technologies. Provide technical function and support for assigned computing projects. Computer equipment & asset management, inventory tracking and documentation. Applies compliance policies, precedent and experience to make complex decisions. Assist in conversion of VMWare servers to Hyper V. Offer suggestions of infrastructure improvements / perspective Assist in management and configuration of HP switches and Cisco WiFi switches. Extended Hours, weekends as needed

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
