Job summary

Cypress HCM is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to support day-to-day operation, maintenance, and administration of enterprise server, operating system, and infrastructure environments in our manufacturing IT data center.

This role ensures availability, performance, security, and reliability of critical computing resources and collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, and business teams to meet operational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Experience with Windows Server and/or Red Hat Linux administration, VMware virtualization, DNS and Active Directory, SAN/NAS storage and backup.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows and Linux server environments, virtualization platforms, and enterprise Nutanix HCI environments (desired).
• Support daily operational activities, incident resolution, and customer requests.
• Monitor system health, performance, security, and availability.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Perform system maintenance, upgrades, patching, and backup verification.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues involving servers, storage, networking, and directory services.

This role helps ensure the availability, performance, security, and reliability of critical computing resources that support business and manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows and Linux server environments, virtualization platforms, and (desired) enterprise Nutanix HCI environments
• Support daily operational activities, incident resolution, and customer requests.
• Monitor system health, performance, security, and availability.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Perform system maintenance, upgrades, patching, and backup verification.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues involving servers, storage, networking, and directory services.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and adherence to IT standards, compliance requirements, and security policies.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and business teams to meet operational and project requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Experience with:
• Windows Server and/or Red Hat Linux administration
• VMware virtualization technologies
• DNS and Active Directory services
• SAN/NAS storage and backup solutions (desired)
• Enterprise server hardware in a data center environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry certifications such as MCSE, VCP, or RHCE.
• Experience with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or other scripting languages.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management best practices.

Contract Duration: Approved through November 30, 2027

Work Environment: Enterprise data center and manufacturing IT infrastructure support environment.

Pay Rate Range

• 45-55/hr
