Kavaliro is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to coordinate day-to-day server operations, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise systems. The role supports Windows and Linux environments, databases, and network infrastructure, with a focus on proactive issue resolution and documentation.

The position requires 5+ years in IT, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and relevant certifications. You will mentor staff, collaborate with multiple departments, and report project status bi-weekly.

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in IT.
• 5+ years of IT experience supporting enterprise-class systems.
• 5–7 years maintaining routers, switches, or wireless devices.
• Experience deploying Microsoft Windows Server (2016–2022) and Linux (RHEL8).
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL.
• Preferred certifications: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, RHCSA, CompTIA Network+, NCP-MCI.

The Systems Administrator coordinates the day-to-day administration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of server systems throughout the enterprise. Specifically, the Engineer provides support and configuration for server systems upon which the packaged and custom applications of the enterprise are installed. The Systems Administrator supports enterprise-class server systems for a variety of business needs and challenges and communicates clearly with end-users, peers, and management, providing technical support and troubleshooting.

Essential Position Functions:

• Administer server systems to ensure their continued operations through physical inspection and proactive review of application logs and system consoles
• Research warnings, errors, and reported issues to determine the root cause, prepare action plans, participate in peer reviews, and document, test, and implement solutions
• Work to revise and streamline processes as needed
• Respond to requests and incidents in the designated queue of the problem management system
• Coordinate support and repair efforts with vendors and on-site personnel
• Implement new server systems according to documented plans and published change control processes
• Provide mentorship and training to technicians and promote an atmosphere of knowledge-sharing
• Document new processes and update existing documentation
• Develop recommendations for enhancing approaches for support services
• Develop and manage effective working relationships with other departments, groups, and personnel
• Design and plan implementations of projects based on customer requirements, best practices, and vendor recommendations
• Provide a minimum of bi-weekly status report updates for current projects
• Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective and timely manner, and demonstrating respect for others
• All work responsibilities are subject to having performance goals and/or targets established

Required Education, Experience, and Certifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Overall IT Experience: A minimum of 5 years of IT work experience with a high level of expertise in supporting multiple enterprise-class systems and environments.
• Network Infrastructure Experience: Five to seven years’ experience in maintaining routers, switches, or wireless devices.
• Operating Systems Expertise: Proven experience deploying and maintaining Microsoft operating systems (preferably 2016-2022) and Linux operating systems (preferably RHEL8).
• Database Support: Experience supporting and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL.
• Preferred Certifications:
• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
• CompTIA Network+
• Nutanix Certified Professional – Multi-cloud Infrastructure (NCP-MCI)
