Job summary

University Health's IT Systems Analyst position supports and enhances the organization’s computer systems across financial, clinical, and administrative domains. You will coordinate programming, system analysis, and troubleshooting to ensure compliant, reliable operations.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will implement new applications, maintain documentation, and provide end-user training while upholding security and healthcare regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data processing, mathematics, clinical informatics, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum six years of programming and system analysis experience across multiple platforms.
  • Experience with ERP and document management systems, API integrations, reporting tools, and databases.
  • Familiarity with Windows, UNIX, and various data management methodologies.

About The Role

The IT Systems Analyst at University Health plays a vital role in supporting and enhancing the organization’s computer systems used across financial, clinical, and administrative domains. This position requires a highly skilled individual capable of providing technical expertise, project management, and strategic guidance to ensure seamless operation and implementation of complex computer systems. The successful candidate will organize and schedule major system tasks, including programming and system analysis, ensuring compliance with departmental and university policies. Building and maintaining strong working relationships with co-workers and other staff members is essential for fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. The role also involves performing additional duties as assigned, contributing to the continuous improvement of IT services and infrastructure within the organization.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in computer science, data processing, mathematics, clinical informatics, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. A minimum of six years of programming and system analysis experience is required, demonstrating proficiency in at least one computer system language and data management methodology across various platforms used at University Health. Candidates should have experience with a variety of applications such as ERP systems (preferably PeopleSoft, Premier, UKG Dimensions), document management systems like Hyland Onbase, API integrations, and reporting tools including Tableau and SQL. Knowledge of SharePoint, Adobe products, MS Office, HIM systems, TCP/IP, FTP/SFTP protocols, and development languages such as ASP, Visual Basic, C++, and Business Objects is highly desirable. Familiarity with databases like Microsoft SQL, Oracle, and Cache, as well as operating systems including Windows, UNIX, and Cache, will be advantageous.
